I read today the sad news that Smokin Joe is terminally ill with liver cancer ,his fight against Ali "the thriller in Manila" was one of the most brutal fights I have ever seen ,outside of the ring Joe was a true Gentleman and a credit to the noble art.

Hey For you Farangs with plenty of time on your hands (as I have) why not have a go at fishing with rod and line, for the complete newcomer there is oceans of Info on the sport on youtube ,I have been an active participant for almost 60 years but still get a bit of a "kick" out of it!,Fishing tackle here is cheap and you do not have to spend a fortune ,I suppose ...

Seve Ballesteros, the Spanish golfer, has died after battling with a brain tumour for several years. I remember him as a popular,friendly band modest professional golfer who set an example to many amateurs.
