On Their Own

Postby steveyinasia » Sat Feb 14, 2009 2:35 pm

I just completed the book "On Their Own" by Colin C Bell, published by Bangkok Books. This is a story of street children in Bangkok based on true events. I must say that this novel is well written and makes it easy to visualise the characters in their difficult world. I was so engrossed in the book that I finshed it it two rather long session, and I don't read that much.

Well worth the read if you want some insight into the problems Thailands street kids face

Thanks, Steve. That's another one on my Amazon list.

There's a book about a priest who still has a mission in a very poor area of Bangkok. It was a very educational read. I passed the book on and forget the title. If I remember it, I'll post about it.

Thanks for that, Stevey. It sounds like it's worth a read. Did you buy it in Korat? If so, where?

Edit: I should have read your intro post first. I guess you bought it in Bangkok.
Please forgive me for I don’t know what I’m saying and therefore when I’ve finished saying it.
