Jungle View Restaurant & Home Stay, Wang Nam Keow, Korat is a must to visit if even only for lunch or dinner.
The menu is European and Thai and the food is excellent. I also recommend the bar; Mario keeps a wide range of beers and spirits that should warm the heart of any connoisseur. I noticed that he has wines too but haven't tried them. The restaurant is timber built and has, for me at least, a wonderful homely atmosphere with views over the valley that are good for the soul.
The accommodation for overnight guests is in individual timber chalets that seem to have all of the necessary comforts.
The Jungle View website carries a gallery of images showing the rooms, views and fishing lake. Mario needs to update it to show the swimming pool, gymnasium and Thai boxing ring.
Jungle View is a little off the beaten track, very quiet and unspoiled. Try it for yourself.
