Welcome.I've retired, in a way, to live with my wife in Thailand. I like it here! After more than 40 years of working to business schedules and deadlines, I've had the task of adjusting both to the pace of retirement and the pace of Thailand. Retired 'in a way' only because I can't sit still doing nothing for the rest of my days. There's so much to do and every new day reminds me that now I must get on with it.
I hope you enjoy this view of the real Land of Smiles and welcome your comments and views.

This is the real Thailand written with humour by a very genuine guy! Thanks
Hi Stuart,
When I lived in the UK I had a cat that looked exactly like the cat in your picture. She was a sickly stray that I was lucky enough to end up taking care of, and we lived happily together for fourteen years. Cost to buy - zero. Cost to look after - not much. Payback to me in love and company - millions. I still miss her at times and think about her lovely nature. Thanks for reminding me once again.
Cheers
Alfie
Thanks for your comments, Alfie. Cats are special creatures and my 14 year old moggie is just as you describe your cat - demands little other than fuss and food and some security. What personalities they have too!
Mine is what you might call a lap cat who wants to be close most of the time. And she's always there for me when I need some love and company myself.
Have a good Christmas!
my dog was 15 when he died never had the feeling to try and replace him

John,
Animal friends are something special, aren't they? My cat is about 15 years old and we have a great understanding. I'll miss her when she's gone.
Thank you for your kind comments and a Happy New year to you too.
